Dahlia ‘Joel’s Favourite’ is a standout variety celebrated for its large blooms and warm blend of peach, apricot, and soft pink tones that wash gracefully across its fully double petals.  The blooms have a glowing sun kissed quality that makes them especially eye-catching in borders and bouquets.  Popular for wedding work and floral arrangements, this dahlia.  This particular variety adds a soft elegant charm to any floral or garden display.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
