Collection: GLADIOLUS

Gladiolus, or “glads,” are tall summer-blooming plants with sword-like leaves and spikes of trumpet-shaped flowers in a wide range of colours. Depending on the variety, they grow 60 cm to 1.5 m and bloom bottom to top for a striking vertical display. They are not winter hardy and must be lifted before the first frost.

For extended colour, plant corms in weekly intervals. This staggered planting gives a longer bloom period, though each gladiolus spike flowers only once per season.

Gladiolus thrive in full sun and well-drained soil and often require staking due to their tall, upright stems.  Bees are especially attracted to glad's making them a great addition to any garden looking to support pollinators.  Despite needing a bit of extra care, gladiolus is a fantastic choice for adding height, colour, and drama to flower beds and borders.
