Dahlia High Fidelity-New

Dahlia ‘High Fidelity’ is a striking ball-type dahlia featuring two-toned blooms in warm apricot-orange with rich deep red undersides that reveal themselves as the petals curl.  The perfectly rounded flowers are held on strong, upright stems, making them excellent for cutting and long-lasting in arrangements.  Blooming steadily from midsummer to frost, this vibrant variety adds bold color and texture to both garden beds and floral designs.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
