Dahlia Mignon Bronzeleaf Dahlegria Tricolore

Dahlia ‘Tricolor’ (also known as Dahlegria Tricolore) is a charming single-flowered dahlia that offers a variety of shades of colours such as pink, coral, orange, and yellow blooming over rich burgundy foliage.  This variety thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, and its vibrant, multi-toned petals make it a standout in garden borders or containers throughout summer and into fall.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
