Dahlia Decorative Peaches and Vanilla

Dahlia ‘Peaches and Vanilla’ is a luscious decorative dahlia known for its large creamy blooms washed in soft peach, apricot, and blush tones. The fully double flowers have a romantic pastel glow that shifts subtly with the light making each bloom feel unique. Growing on sturdy medium-height plants this variety is excellent for cutting and brings warm elegant colour to borders, beds, and summer bouquets from midsummer to frost.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
