Dahlia ‘Cranberry Classic’ is an elegant decorative dahlia showcasing rich cranberry-red blooms with a velvety finish. The fully double flowers stand out beautifully in the garden offering bold saturated colour from midsummer until frost. Growing on strong, upright stems, this variety is excellent for cutting and adds timeless jewel-toned beauty to borders, beds, and floral arrangements.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
