Dahlia ‘Crème de Cognac’ is a striking decorative dahlia known for its rich warm colouring that blends mocha, caramel, and deep copper tones into fully double velvety blooms. The flowers shift subtly as they mature giving each one a uniquely layered, vintage inspired look. Growing on sturdy stems and blooming from midsummer to frost.   This variety adds sophisticated, earthy elegance to beds, borders, and cut-flower arrangements.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
