Crocosmia 'Lucifer' is a striking perennial known for its vibrant red, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in late summer and early fall. Standing tall at 100 cm tall this plant features arching stems with clusters of fiery blossoms that attract pollinators like hummingbirds and butterflies. With its sword-like foliage and dramatic colour Lucifer adds a bold vertical element to gardens making it a popular choice for borders or as a focal point in mixed beds. However please take note that in some parts of Canada Crocosmia 'Lucifer' is not considered a perennial.  The trick to growing it successfully in the garden is to ensure it is well-mulched or protected by a thick blanket of snow that helps insulate the plant from waking up to early in the season.
