Allium Early Emperor is a relatively new introduction.  As the name suggest Early Emperor blooms earlier than many other varieties of Alliums, typically by about two weeks. This particular variety of Allium produces a dark purple globes.   Alliums are valued for their easy care, long lasting blooms and ability to return year after year with minimal maintenance making them a popular choice for the garden.  Alliums bloom in late spring to early summer attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.  A hardy plant that can with stand a range soil conditions.  Consider planting Alliums with Camassia's and Nectroscordum Siculus.
