Tulip Danique

Tulip Danique has star shaped flowers that are a pale silver pink.  A relatively new multi-flower variety.  The specie variety of tulips have relatively smaller blooms on shorter stems compared to their cultivated counterparts.  A mid season blooming variety

Specie tulips are often referred as wild tulips, share characteristics similar to how they grow in their natural habitat. Specie tulips are diverse in blooming times.  There are the  very early, Pulchella Violacea, to late, Dasystemon Tarda.  Excellent at coming back each year if left undisturbed,  Ideal for rock gardens and boarder plantings.  Consider mixing with Muscari's and Narcissus Thalia.
