Dahlia ‘Ferncliff Illusion’ is an elegant dinnerplate dahlia featuring unique large softly ruffled blooms in creamy white brushed with delicate lavender-pink edges.  The subtle colouring gives each flower a delicate dreamy glow.  Growing on tall, sturdy plants, it blooms generously from midsummer to frost, making it a beautiful standout in borders and an exceptional choice for romantic, showy cut-flower arrangements.

The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil.  In Eastern Canada this typically means early June.  For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time.  Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.  They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
