Dahlia ‘Fairway Spur’ is an eye-catching dinnerplate dahlia that produces huge, fully double blooms in warm shades of peach, apricot, and soft coral. Its broad gently curled petals create a lush full appearance that stands out beautifully in the garden. Blooming from midsummer to frost on tall, sturdy stems, it makes a striking focal point in borders and an exceptional choice for large, showy cut-flower arrangements.
The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil. In Eastern Canada this typically means early June. For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time. Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
Shipping begins in late March, weather permitting.
