Dahlia ‘Linda’s Baby’ is a charming ball-type dahlia that features softly rounded blooms in delicate pink tones. The flowers are large (3") tightly packed petals forming a perfect sphere. This particular ball dahlia blooms prolifically and favored by florists for cutting. Its vintage charm and strong vase life make it a standout in arrangements.
The key to growing healthy dahlias is planting them in warm soil. In Eastern Canada this typically means early June. For a head start you can pot up the tubers in mid to late April and keep them indoors until planting time. Dahlias thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. They begin blooming in mid-July and continue right up until the first frost. These plants make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
Shipping begins in late March, weather permitting.
