Amaryllis Red Lion

Amaryllis Red Lion holds a cherished place as an old-time favourite, beloved for its consistent blooming since its debut in the late 1950's. It is one of the earliest to bloom with bright red flowers within 6-8 weeks time.

Hippeastrums, commonly known as amaryllis are easy-care indoor plants prized for their striking blooms.  Place in a sunny window, rotate for straight growth, and water weekly.  After flowering, cut back stems and continue watering as leaves develop.  Move outdoors after frost if desired, fertilize regularly, then before fall frost, trim leaves, bring the bulb indoors, and allow 4–6 weeks of dry dormancy before repotting to encourage reblooming.
