Planting Instructions

Tulips, Hyacinths, Fritillaria, Allium

  1. Select a sunny location.
  2. Dig a hole 6″ (15cm) deep and loosen the soil in the hole.
  3. Plant the bulbs 6″ (15cm) apart.
  4. When planted as a group of 5 bulbs  a round hole of 12″ (30cm) is sufficient.
  5. Cover with soil and water well.
  6. Bulbs may be planted in a pot, but need to be inside during the winter in a cool, dark place for 10-12 weeks and need a little water once a month. After this cooling period, the pot may be placed outside or in a sunny window.

Miscellaneous, Species Tulips, Botanical Narcissus 

  1. Select a sunny location.
  2. Dig a hole 4″ (10cm) deep and loosen the soil in the hole.
  3. Plant the bulbs 2-3″ (7cm) apart.
  4. When planted as a group of 5 bulbs a round hole of 6″ (15cm) is sufficient.
  5. Cover with soil and water well.
  6. Bulbs may be planted in a pot, but need to be inside during the winter in a cool, dark place for 10-12 weeks and need a little water once a month. After this cooling period, the pot may be placed outside or in a sunny window.
